He has experience creating his own projects, working within the industry, as well as TV acting credits. The most recent of which was featured in Times Square during New Year's Eve. Joel is also an accomplished magician and has been known to weave in a few magic tricks into his lessons too!
If you are passionate about photography, film, or even reel making, this class is for you! Students will create a stop motion short film, and a short film complete with script writing, lighting, direction, pre and post production, and acting.
Join Joel in this program that will explore all the rudimentary basics of setting up balance, texture, frame, and composition so students will eventually create their very own film projects!
Beginning with learning the fundamentals of photography, the class will evolve from still to moving pictures. Students will practice these new skills and combine them with story-telling techniques to say something important within their projects. Each student will move in a direction they feel drawn towards, whether it’s set design, acting, documentary filmmaking, camera operation or other areas of film production. These personal passions will then be supported and guided into creating collaborative projects that can be shared with friends and family!!
An ambitious class that aims to develop a tool belt of methods that can work with any picture, moving or still! **All students will be required to have/bring a camera, smartphone/cellphone able to take photos. All other equipment will be provided.
